A shocking development without a doubt would be the fact that the Mexican peso is now on a rise against the US dollar.

For American expats, a strong local currency is supposed to be considered as not good, generally speaking. This would be under the assumption that the currency is being pegged to the US dollar.

This would mean that staying in Mexico would simply become more expensive, and this would be as the local currency continues to rise in value. This is great news for Mexico, but can also prove to be sad in the long run.
